Felted Sweaters

I've put all my felted sweater things onto iPhoto so I can bring them onto this blog now. I made most of them before Christmas. I went to Valu Village during their 50 per cent off sale and bought about 40 wool sweaters. The best ones were from the Gap, American Eagle and Jacob. I went to the laundry mat and washed and dried them about 4 times, making sure I wipped the drums each time. (When I do this at home, I put each sweater into a pillow bag, zip it up, and keep it in there until it's perfectly felted) When I got the sweaters home I made most of them into sweater bags. I will post later as to where I got the pattern for the bags. These bags were quick to make. I added ribbon, buttons, some fun wool, key chains, belts... to make them a little more finished. I put pockets on some. My Blackberry Pearl fits perfectly into the two I kept for myself. I kept the first bag I made. It has my friend's vintage button on it and I kept the last one I made which fits my MacBook and my journals and my felted pencil case and my agenda, etc. It's awesome. I put it over my lap when I'm in the car and it keeps my lap warm.
